Have you wanted to learn how to research and find your ancestors and create your family tree? Please join us as we share stories of our own successes in our research, learn more about Lake County history and the surrounding areas, and learn how and where to conduct genealogical research from society members and local genealogy experts.
We hold our Lake County Genealogical Society meetings in the basement of the Morley Library (184 Phelps St., Painesville) from 10:00 a.m. to noon on the last Thursday of the month. We do not meet in August and December and may occasionally meet at another location. Please check our web site at www.lcgsohio.org for any changes in meeting date/time/location or call Dave at 440-209-1639 or Cynthia at 440-951-0914 for more information.
On November 29, Carla Cegielski will talk about “Bullet Journaling for Genealogy.” Learn about how a bullet journal can help plan, guide, and organize your genealogical research. Capture your random thoughts and midnight revelations and turn them into actionable tasks.
Carla is a freelance family history researcher specializing in Ohio, western Pennsylvania and West Virginia research. She is a frequent speaker at genealogical societies, libraries, and conferences. She has a special interest in uncovering, introducing, and teaching about underutilized record collections of interest to genealogists.
